Chapters 1-5

May 7th, 2010

What Iv learned in chapters 1-5 are alot about Lewis and Clark. They were the founders of the Oregon Trail, and traveled along it on an expedition. Also, I learned about the fur trade and trading routes Washington had. They would export food from Washington to other places, in return for other food. They would also trade what they had, to other groups, who had food they wanted.  It was a good trade idea. I also learned that it was a harder life back in the old times, because people didn’d just get food from stores, people would actually grow there own food..
